Today marks the 15th anniversary of the event that sparked the creation of the Federal Protective Service; the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City.

Now, the agency charged with the security of federal civilian buildings might see its workforce wholly, or partially, federalized this year as Congress drafts legislation to do that, while the Department of Homeland Security is conducting a separate review.
