These are the stories Federal News Radio reporters are working on today.

  • Your marriage may be “mixed” and you didn’t know it until Friday. Federal News Radio Senior Correspondent Mike Causey is here and his latest column on Federal News Radio is about marriages all over Washington who found out that one spouse is “essential” and one isn’t.
  • iPads are in the hands of about 170 employees at the Federal Aviation Administration. The agency’s Air Traffic Organization is running one of the largest mobile computing pilots in government, to see if tablets are powerful enough to let employees get the job done. Steve Cooper is ATO’s chief information officer. He tells Jason Miller about the pilot and some of their findings so far.
  • A deep cut in the E-Government fund is one of the details coming out today in the budget compromise between the Obama Administration and Congress. Now, the administration is trying to figure out which of its open government websites it can keep up and running, with dramatically reduced funding. Federal News Radio’s Jared Serbu has the story.
