Sexual assault reports at the three service academies increased by 64 percent for the 2009-2010 school year, according to the Pentagon’s annual report on sexual harassment and violence. There were 41 reports of sexual assaults involving students at West Post, the Naval academy, and the Air Force Academy. There were 25 reported during the previous year. However, the Pentagon believes that many more assaults likely went unreported to authorities.
