Federal labor unions are not being shy about their agendas for the Transportation Security Administration. Both the National Treasury Employees Union and the American Federation of Government Employees have already requested meetings with TSA’s newly confirmed leader, John Pistol. The Senate confirmed Pistol on Friday. At the top of the union list is collective bargaining rights and exclusive representation for TSA employees. Joining us with details on HIS union’s plans, is Brian Dewyngaert, chief of staff for the American Federation of Government Employees.
