As the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks approaches, the repercussions and reverberations from that day still affect how federal agencies work, but they also changed things for contractors.
Chris Bonin, the director of Homeland Security Solutions for government contractor CACI, joined the Federal Drive to discuss how the attacks have impacted federal contractors.
Bonin, who at the time worked in New York City’s Office of Emergency Management, was only about a thousand feet from Ground Zero in New York City, when the Twin Towers came down.
“The vendor community came through with flying colors” in terms of getting agencies and first responders equipment,” he said.
But how have homeland security companies and divisions at contracting firms evolved?
He also discussed how CACI’s Homeland Security Solutions has changed over the years and what factors today influence the way it does business.
