Biodegradable needles that dissolve inside the body are just one of the innovative technologies NASA’s LAUNCH program is helping get off the ground. The LAUNCH program offers advice and assistance to inventors working on global sustainability challenges like water resources, clean air, health care and energy. Diane Powell, team lead for the LAUNCH program, is a finalist for a Service to America Medal. She told Federal News Radio what she and the team have “really been able to do is change peoples’ lives.”
