Obama appoints Public Printer, Deputy AG

President Obama announced his intent to appoint two key nominees, according to a White House statement.

President Obama appointed two key nominees.

William Boarman for Public Printer at the Government Printing Office
Boarman previously served as Printer at GPO in 1974, leaving in 1977. Currently, he is senior vice president of the Communications Workers of America. He has more than 40 years of experience in the printing industry.

James M. Cole for Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice
Cole was an official DoJ for 13 years before entering private practice in 1992. He served as the deputy chief of the Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section during his last three years. He was a member of President Clinton’s transition team in 1992 to review DoJ. Currently he is a partner with Brian Cave LLP.

Cole “will be critical in our work to keep the American people safe, ensure the fairness and integrity of our financial markets, and restore the traditional missions of the department,” said Attorney General Eric Holder in a statement.
