Iran’s foreign minister has met with Syrian President Bashar al-Asad and condemns the US helicopter attack on an al Qaida stronghold in Syria. Manucherhr Mottaki said the attack was designed to create a rift among the governments in the region. He also said it resulted in failure for America. At the meeting, the two sides also discussed the developments in Iraq and Lebanon. Iranian observers say there is significant concern that Syria is beginning to warm up to the west.
