NMCI was one of the poorest designed IT systems out there with extremely high fees and terrible reliability issues when compared to other commericial services. It was amazing they kept getting the contract, but then it becomes more clear when you see all the retiring influential Govt civilians and military going to work for them. I would like to see another group get into the drivers seat, but only if they could not hire any retiring Govt personnel. Because of the contract labor costs are higher and they shift jobs constantly, I would really prefer that services all be done with Govt employees only but that is where all the profit lies so doubt if that happens. Anyways, I am glad see some companies finally baulking at the status quo.
