    But Fed IT is messed up so putting somebody in charge who must answer to Congress may be a good idea. Most private sector businesses now lease their equipment on a 2 or 3 year cycle. Feds are a lot worse than that, we only get equipment when some contractor gets inserted into a bill.

    It surely would help if there were someone in charge that knew a little about how top down networking was structured. I have to laugh when I hear that the government is going to "Reform" anything. Another issue that those in charge of making said reforms have no real stake in what they are delegated to reform. Good luck all the same.
