  • Themselves to blame

Congress has only itself to blame, they hold the purse strings and if as supposed grown, reponsible and well educated(?) adults can't play nice and compromise for the sake of this great nation then they should be held accountable. Could be considered treson? or maybe even terrorism hmmm. Now that sounds like Ted Cruz talking!

USMC 1968-74...as Vietnam drawdown began the Marines suffered worse funding reductions than sequestration. It happens towards the end of every conflict. To lay this at the feet of the conservatives in Congress is disingenuous to say the least. Perhaps we COULD blame congress for continued funding for the Abrams tank fiasco that the DOD doesn't even 'WANT! With military spending there is always room for sensible cost reductions. Perhaps if Obama and his Pentagon sycophants weren't experimenting with "biofuels" which cost EIGHT times more than standard fuel they could save a few hundred million here and there!

The Hanford Superfund cleanup is shutting down, with deadly chemical waste leaking into the ground from 56 million gallons of storage tanks, because DoE threw $8B away on Solyndra et al.

What this artical represents is a PR propaganda to generate public support for excessive military appropriations in a time of tight budgets. The urge to surge has passed so purge the urge.

All this pain and suffereing because of a 85 billion dollar reduction in rate of GROWTH. How then is it that the 60 billion dollar spent on Hurricane Sandy relief hasn't had the opposite affect? Should have been a almost even trade. They continue to lie to us and we continue to mistrust the government.
