  • Who will fight wars for Israel then?
    Reader11722
Endless wars for Israel (which are never effected by the sequester), yet another violation of our rights. The gov’t constantly violates our rights. They violate the 1st Amendment by caging protesters and banning books like “America Deceived II”. They violate the 4th and 5th Amendment by allowing TSA to grope you. They violate the entire Constitution by starting undeclared wars. Impeach Obama. Last link of “America Deceived II” before it is completely banned: http://www.amazon.com/America-Deceived-II-Possession-interrogation/dp/1450257437

  • Banned?
    Sam B
The book you mention could be purchased online for $10. It's hardly banned. Although, it has very poor reviews including "This is almost certainly the worst written book I have ever read." and "I just want to point out, this book stinks. It's very poorly written." What makes you think the book is banned?

  • Army funding
    JiminGA
Does this mean we will only be able to fund fighting wars and must bring home the many thousands of troops stationed in foreign countries where there are no wars? What a concept.

  • Re: Army could lose 100,000 soldiers due to sequestration
    Mike J.
Ok, but then the congressionals are going to have to stop all their demands for "boots on the ground" in places like Syria and Africa whenever one of 'em sees a "wrong that must be righted" on the evening news; and the congressionals are going to have to allow the services to close and get rid of installations, old planes and ships they no longer need but for which they must continue to pay upkeep even though they don't have the people or fuel to use them. The congressionals need to stop insisting the services buy additional trucks/tanks/planes etc. etc. the services no longer need, no matter in whose district they're manufactured. Uh huh. Wake me when THAT happens.

  • Sequestration!
    JohnDoe
The Army knew about the sequestration in 2011, but they did no planning whatsoever or even considered the possibility that a sequester was forthcoming, which is not unlike most, if not all government agencies. They didn't plan then, and they won't plan now, unless they were forced to do so. If 100,000 or 1,000,000 military migrate back into the civilian workforce, they can seek civilian employment, open businesses and hire workers, or otherwise help grow the economy. If a declared war does actually transpire, then the government could do what it has always done and re-institute the draft. When that war is over, the draftees can go home, go back to work, or re-educate themselves if needed. To think that we have to be the policemen of the world is absurd, because we are financing the terrorists at home. Maybe we should consider policing our own country, instead of worrying about the domestic politics of other countries, which will never advocate democratic rule.

  • Army to lose manpower
    phillyfanatic
It appears that the Obama Admin. has finally done what it wanted way back in 2008. That is to drive down America a peg or two. Instead of two , it is ...downward spiraling to cuts that will endanger America. This naif in the WH does not care. He has cut the Navy and wants to make us look like...Costa Rica. Sorry, but Reagan was right to keep us strong. This pacifist in the WH wants us to be just another 3rd world nation who could not wage a war if it was needed. He should be impeached.
