  • Brandy and Cigars
    ben
When I lived in DC, during snow days, my prerequisites were either brandy and cigars, or brandy and a bad girl. Then, there was the occasion when it was brandy and Brandi.

Well an honest man. What about that time in that donkey bar in Mexico. If you are going to run for office. You need to come clean, very clean. like burning all that DNA off those cigars. Enjoy the snow. I cant get out of my driveway today. But, that is a function of my tax money at work. Replacing both the water and sewer mains. I just dont understand how one pipe is going to do it or when that hole big enough to eat my car is going to get filled in. they left a steel plate over it last nite. some fool knocked it loose and a car was in it when I went to bed last nite. just like driving on snow only deeper mogels.

DD: I think there are only 8 of them, but going to Texas over Oregon is like getting a free truck for moving there. So, while you think Wash State is a good compromise you can always regroup, especially if you did the smart thing and rented (which is what anybody should do when moving to a new location).

The market was still pretty soft up the Columbia River from Vancouver. I did my first ever VA loan. Got all my earnest money back, seller paid $7,000 in closing costs and I got a 3.25% loan, that didnt cost me a cent and the first payment was 45 days out. cant begin to rent that cheap. then to stay out of dark damp donkey bars, I have been working in the basement, didnt qualify in the appraisal SF because it was worse than a donkey bar... Added 500SF of space down there, put in a new fireplace insert for $1,700. a federal clean air grant paid $2,500, and that was just back in january? home improvments are harder on my back than work was. wait until the employed need to start mopping the floors and cleaning the johns at work. Other duties as assigned.

Are Democrats. I try avoid rabid animals of all kinds these days. As for Vancouver, let me know how that works out. Now that pot is legal there, I'm sure the population will double or triple, but I always wondered why more people didn't run there from OR, but maybe Portland is worth the indentured servitude? Or they've all found ways around it? As for bars, All I know I learned from Fred who's a funny ex-pat web emailer. He used to do traffic column in DC and loved him then.

  • And not just a loaf of bread

It's interesting to go to the grocery on the nights before a storm is predicted, even if the forecast is for 1 inch. I've seen other shoppers buy 5 gallons of milk, enough toilet paper and bread for a month and enough pizza to feed a family of 4 for six days. It's as if they don't believe they'll eventually get out ever again.

  • No snow for me!
    ben
I'm retired and in Alabama. No snow, just a cool breeze. Never will run for office, you have to associate with politicians, I don't associate such.
