Lock them all in one room together, and don't let them out until they make a decision!

They already will only go into a closed room with their known allies. As a result, they hear no dissent. Hearing no dissent, they make the worst decisions of all, meaning no compromises, and no learning from the other party.

If, I was a congressman locked up in a room with all my peers I'd be nervous about the people outside. Do they have ready access to gasoline and a match? LOL, in jest, only.

  • Reducing the Federal Work Force
    jst
This whole exercise is most likely designed to reduce the Federal Government workforce. They call it attrition however, its quite possible that this entire thing is by design which I truly believe is going to happen in 4 days. Congress is not going to act on it because it is more beneficial to not act on it. The automatic spending cuts will drive everything back down where government wants them to be, and there will be more money in place to cover the spending increases that are coming soon. What does that mean? Well we are going to see more Federal Employees working at Walmart, K-Mart, and possibly McDonalds flipping hamburgers.

  • BURP
    Rob
Obama is going to be quite embarrassed when sequestration comes and goes without the Armageddon he's been predicting. Sequestration needs to happen so the low information voters can begin to wake up and see through all the bull manure they've been told.

I assume the bull manure you are referring to comes from the Republican radical right.----The disaster will be reduced services, reduced pay for all of us, and hardship by various people dependent on these expenditures.

  • Crowley Busts DOT
    ben
In an interview with the DOT Secretary, Candy Crowley pointed out that FAA's budget and staff is up from 2008, but flights are down 27 percent. Why would a slowdown in flight controllers be necessary? Where's one of several links -- http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2013/02/24/crowley-lahood-post-sequester-faa-budget-500-million-more-2008-when-p. True, TSA might still cause long lines on the ground.

    Moderate
True, TSA might not have enough employees to do the job. And have you been a flight controller? I have been hearing that the job is extremely stressful since 1981.

  • Sequester: Bombshell or burp?
    vetdude
I don't know what's worse, Congress not being able to reach a budget decision since October 2011 or reading about it ad nauseum every day for weeks on Federal News Radio. We all know what's going to happen: the ineptocracy will just kick the can down the road for another 3-6 months. Meanwhile, March 27 (Gov't Shutdown) rapidly approaches. Come on baseball!!!
