  • Will the AF reductions apply to all units?

If this happens, the pain should be spread across the entire service. That would mean fewer flying hours for the 89th Airlift Wing and Air Force One. I'm not holding my breath.

  • President is always viewed
as mission critical, regardless of what he is doing and where he is going. True pain will never be felt unless it has an impact for EVERYONE. Until that point, those in a leadership position will never truly understand or be fully motivated to fix things for the long term.

Are you kidding me? The military won't get hit. Both parties will cut back social security/medicare, etc. The military won't get cut back. At all. Even the Pentagon doesn't want all the things the Congress throws at them (a 2nd F-35 engine, etc.). The Congress just protects the jobs in their districts. THAT's why both parties won't cut it back and instead stick us with the cuts.

  • Since the military is a rightful Federal function, and welfare, National Socialistic Security Ponzi Scheme, Obummer Socialized Medicine are not, it's appropriate to cut those.

became a federal function over 70 years ago so like it or not, they still need to be dealt with. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they can be cut and the obligations of the program be ignored. Benefits were promised to folks that have since retired and have no way to make up the income that they were promised and built their retirement off of. You can make program changes to people coming into the program now or people that will retire in over 15 years but for anyone already retired or retiring in the next 5-7 years, it is too little too late.
