Isn't expecting the day before Christmas off like the entitlement programs that we are so against? A lot of people are still unemployed, and have quit looking. Next hand out please.

  • Funny.....

This will prove interesting..... On one hand we are in a period of pay freezes, downsizing, and all out assult on the Government worker. How can the Government afford to give us a day off? On the other hand, another article on FNR reports that 13,500 military members will be used for the Presidents inauguration. That hardly seems like a good use of Government personnel and tax money. Here is a good opportunity for the President to cancel the inauguration since he is already in office and hold a small intimate gathering instead...leading by example in fiscal responsibility. We already know that this won't happen and the American taxpayer will spend millions in military, law enforcement, and civilian pay to welcome the existing President back into his existing position.

  • Second Innaugurations
    Moderate
Did George Bush do that in 2005? Did Bill Clinton do that in 1997? Did Ronald Reagan do that in 1985? It ain't happening. But the idea is good.

  • Blame Game
    Moderate
If it is the same Rob who comments here commented in the article then it is typical of him. He should have blamed both the Democrats and the Republicans for not solving the problem. He typically blames the Democrats and ignores the Republicans' faults.
