  • ACLU does it again

One would think that even the ACLU would recognize the negative security implications of allowing photos to be taken indiscriminantly at sensitive border control facilities. But apparently not (sigh). This blinkered mindset on the ACLU's part is nothing new. It was evident most egregiously in the immediate aftermath to the 9/11 tragedy in 2001 when news reports indicated that on the very day afterward senior ACLU staff members were already meeting to strategize ways to counter the government's expected enhanced security measures. Some things are sadly inpervious to change, including this organization's inability to recognize when essential security concerns are at stake.
