A guy I knew [West Point] didn't even get to be considered for Colonel. They kicked him out at LtCol. He returned the next Monday as a 15, and is now an SES bigwig. He was valuable, but the Army crapped on him. His agency recognized his worth, and kept him.

  • Army Early Retirement

should only be offered to officers. Any officer who cannot advance to the next rank within the time restraints should be discharged. An Officer and a Gentleman? What a crock. The majority of Army officers I dealt with during my career were verbally abusive, manipulative and unprofessional. Most despised DoD civilians and tried to impose the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ)on them. Once they discovered civilians aren't subject to the UCMJ they became even more abusive, created Hostile Work Environments under Title VII then hid behind the uniform.
