  • waste of MONEY
    "Green" is code for expensive. I think the Gov should be looking at a Return on Investment...like how many years do we have to occupy these buildings before the extra cost pays off? I'm in a "Green" building, it stinks, we don't even have light switches. They can pay hundreds for sensors but not a $1 for a switch? Yeah that makes sense.

    Don't be so dramatic. Those sensors cost about $25-$30 when bought individually. There is likely a discount for buying in bulk. The cost of the switch versus the sensor isn't the only ROI input. How much money does your building spend on utilities when no one is in the room? How much money does your building spend on maintenance staff turning switches on and off?
