  • Let The Cuts Happen
    FrankJr
The defense budget has grown in leaps and bounds over the last 10-15 years. These cuts just bring us back to the levels we should be at. Those 1.09 million jobs should be considered 'war time' jobs and the war will soon be over. We went through this when the cold war was over in the 80s, and eventually we got over it. Those people will find new jobs, maybe not as high paying, but if they are successful individuals they will find work.

  • Not the way to achieve the changes that are needed
    jjosie
Across the board cuts are not the way to do it. If Congress (both parties) allows this to happen, they deserve yet another big fat grade of "F" for yet another job not done. Providing a budget for the government to operate should be their first priority, but they have failed at that for years now. It's time to hold them accountable for the job they are paid to do. ... Oh, I forgot, they're on 'recess' again...
