I enjoyed reading the comments from people concerning their parents and grandparents hwo were in WWII. My father-in-law was also in WWII, but at the very end. He signed up to be a fly boy, but by the time he was old enough to go in, the war was winding down and he ended up doing encryption and de-encryption work in the States. He did however, serve in Korea...................................... I was in DC last year with another friend who looked up his grandfather at the WWII memorial. My husband looked up his father, and was disappointed that the name wasn't there. I realized it is a Memorial, so he probably has to die before he gets in the data base! We are happier to still have my father-in-law with us. Maybe we will check again in 10 years.
