  • You call these careers?
    Norman's Mother
Not if you want to have a family. I'm totally opposed to careers that require frequent travel, overtime, "irregular hours" and any other schedule other than 9 to 5. Shift work is out, so that includes nurses, doctors, police, military, EMT's and any other job that demands odd hours. The CIA and FBI requires all of the above and more. These students don't know what they're in for with "standard" 12-hour days and routine "overtime". Initially, they may think it's a rush but when they realize they can't get dates, are never invited out to dinner or a movie and all their coworkers are married.

  • "State, CIA, FBI rank high as ideal employer, college students say"?

My advice to college students -- Run! The opposite direction! As fast as you can!
