Yeah, that's the answer to a handful of political appointees who misbehave.

  • The GSA problems are not just at GSA it's happening at other agencies too
There is a "clean up" taking place sort of speak in addressing a lot of these issues. there has been a long history of innapropriate behavior at SSA from management. At the Office of International Operations, just a couple of days ago in April 2012, a supervisor was demoted for having a girl underneath his desk (he had his pants down), not much left to say. he was not fired just demoted. In that same component, employees have had sex in the office during the work day, nobody cares. The hiring has been corrupt for years. And we wonder really how good the commissioner is when he promoted his cousin to an SES career position under his supervision. Isn't it innapropriate for him to give a position to his familiy member? Nepetism is the word? Yea again, a lot going down in that place. Bullying has been included in the union contract because it has been happening a lot especially at the headquarters campus. Some "cleaning" has taken place but it has a long way to go yet to be ethical.

What got GSA in the news was the misbehavior of people who have nothing to do with the rest of the agency. Nothing. Now, because of the misbehavior of a few, and mostly political appointees, the whole agency is smeared. It's crude and disgusting.

  • Open Government Comments on Comments Concerning GSA
OGTV finds the reports more than alarming but not surprising. The need for an entire mission change within government is starting to become apparent. Apparently, Government redemption would be to create a win win win environment for those who do business with the government and no one loses. That, we believe is a construct that is worth investigating. The economy is bad (still) and we need the largest buyer of goods and services to get off of the dog and pony and work like factory workers to make sure everyone wins...www.opengovtv.com

  • Work like factory workers?
Are you for real? Do you have any clue as to the different jobs in the government? We are not assembly line creatures. We do quality work, not quantity work.

    The Original Joe S
Non Feds think the feds have a gravy train, and are jealous when the economy tanks. IF the grass were so much greener, why don't those complainers get a fed job?
