  • The miltary labor union
    I'm suprised the POTUS hasn't made the military become a part of the labor union yet.

  • Public sector unionization
    FDR, who otherwise supported union rights in the private sector, had it right in 1937 when he said "Meticulous attention should be paid to the special relations and obligations of public servants to the public itself and to the Government .... The process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service." The increasingly politically driven and counterproductive antics of the Federal employee unions, since the passage of the CSRA reform legislation in 1978 in particular, have validated his caveat.

  • Public unions are limited
    We do not have the right to strike or the right to binding arbitration over pay. We have some rights to bargain over certain things, but this is very little. Compare that to organizations which prevent unions by actually shutting down sections of employment when workers vote to form a union. Walmart is a prime example.
