There are so many better ways to save money. Lower the amounts we pay contractors to employ their employees. That would save billions. Hire fewer federal employees, but don't lower the pay and benefits. It's going to be very difficult in the coming years to get any federal employees, not just techies, if you lower or don't increase pay and benefits. In DoD, why did we go through BRAC if that doesn't count towards savings. Maybe it was a big waste of time and effort. Maybe we should have just let those people go instead of moving them. Maybe we could have saved billions by leaving well enough alone. Lawmakers and policy decision makers, think beyond your boxes and see the blunder and the potential error of your ways before you do the wrong thing.
