  • New FedRAMP Standards will need public service non-profit support

This is a huge step for OMB, NIST and GSA, and is on the right track. However, implementation FedRAMP will require formal metrics, more rigorous specification of core IT Infrastructure services and associated SLA templates that could be used for small, medium and large scale implementations. OMB, NIST and GSA are driving agencies to move away from custom infrastructure stove pipes, and into a whole new acquisition model. To accomplish this, as congress has deduced, they will need to embrace an Agile Acquisition framework based on Service Orientation and Value Stream Alignment. These frameworks already exist, but will not be promoted by those companies tied to these legacy systems and inefficiencies. My two cents..
