  • Typical Unions...

All mouth, no action. And by the way, I hear they want to increase dues as well. Useless.

  • Executive Contractor Pay Cap
    Kenny Ray
Stan Soloway opposes the executive compensation cap because it "inappropriately ties company executive compensation to irrelevant government executive compensation levels." In the next paragraph he states the current plan "has been in place for 30 years and has been based on the compensation paid to executives at companies of similar sizes." Exactly how is that more relevant?

  • No FERS for new hires
    fednews5
What about the proposal to end FERS for new hires? In the future, no more defined benefit plan for those retirees, only the TSP and Social Security. No more FERS supplement for new hires if they were to retire before age 62, no more FERS survivor benefits, no FERS disability? These are huge future changes to the federal employment system.

  • No FERS for new hires
    fednews5
Just to clarify, the President's proposal only recommends ending the FERS annuity supplement (the amount one would receive before age 62 to replace an estimated Social Security benefit); proposals in other quarters have been to end FERS completely for new hires.

  • Federal Employee Cuts
    CAfed
This is shameful of Obama to try and balance the mistakes of Congress on the backs of Federal employees. Why not stop ALL benefits being paid to illegals in this country? That amounts to millions, if not billions, per year which the legal residents of this country are being forced into paying. Ask the federal workers how they balance their budgets on the slim salaries they now make.
