  • Personal Devices on government networks

    I think this is a great idea, as long as there is absolute control as VA's Mr. Baker states. I would add one more caveat as a govt IT support tech; Who will be responsible for care and support of these personal devices? The problem in my agency is we have a lot of very intelligent user's (majority have PHds) who, although completely inept with technology, nevertheless want the latest gadgets and gizmos. So as long as personal devices are entirely the owner's responsiblity, I'm all for it.And by the way government funds should not be purchasing mobile devices for ANYONE below the cabinet level.
