Too bad they will never happen. While most private companies are finding ways to save money, the US Government continues to spend more than they need too. Take supplies from GSA, many agencies are requiring employees to order from GSA only, yet most items can be found at lower prices locally, which would save money and help local economies. With such a huge buying power, why does the federal government seem unwilling to negotiate for better prices? It use to be if a federal employee had to travel, they made their own travel arrangements, no extra costs involved. Now they still make their own travel arranges, but now they have to go through a department that charges a fee. With the number of employees traveling, that adds up to a lot of money.
