  • CIO and new media vs old
    navyman
So the Navy Chief Information Officer, the leader of all the Navy's information technology, chose print media over the systems represented by his own job? Why would a tech-savvy person choose a magazine that no one I know reads (I've been active duty 26 years now) instead of an online format that the whole world could access? Why does the Navy spend a nickel on a paper magazine anymore when we can do it all online at a miniscule fraction of the cost? I want a tech-savvy CIO - someone who 'gets it,' not someone who 'has more important things to do' than to communicate with the people he supports. Where's the vision? Where's the communication of a plan? What is the plan? We can do better.
