  • Navy and Family Policies

    Actually, our friends to the north beat the Navy to this one. In the Canadian armed forces one is entitled to paternity leave, maternity leave, and a form of "stress" leave. They don't call it a sabbatical, but it's similar, as it's meant to allow the service member to take a step back, breathe, and deal with whatever issue(s) is conflicting with duty. The Canadians may have other life-enhancing programs for their military, but these are the only ones I can recall.
