  • You Don't Know What an Embedded System Is?

    Where were you during the run-up to Y2K? Systems "embedded" into things like the gear that controlled the nation's electrical power infrastructure were a big concern, because no one knew how (or if) those systems would react to the Y2K date bug. Since they were "embedded," there was usually no way the end user could test them.
