Mike, If Columbus were a Civil Servant attempting his voyages today, he would first have to register on GovTrip, an impenetrable system of madness so impossible to use that even the stone-faced civil servants of Mount Rushmore would shed bitter tears in the attempt. He would have to contact ERC for step-by-step assistance until finally he would give up in disgust and return to his desk, where he would shuffle papers until reaching full retirement age or being offered a buyout, whichever came first.
