A Defense scientific advisory panel is recommending the Department consider an expansion of how they use the DNA they collect from warfighters.

Steven Aftergood is the director of the Federation of American Scientist’ Project on Government Secrecy. He says if the Department of Defense does move in this direction – it means using genome sequence data in a whole new way.
