NIST outlines criteria for Apple to enter gov market

NIST\'s Randall Easter outlines what Apple would have to do in order to make its products available for government jobs.

Apple Computer wants to boost its Government IT business. For the first time, Apple is working with systems integrators to get products like the iPad to agencies.

Randall Easter, director of the cryptographic module validation program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, said at this stage, one of the things that Apple has to do is to meet certain tech standards.
