Federal agencies had until April 7th to comply with a White House mandate to pubic Open Government plans. All cabinet agencies met that deadline, including the Interior Department. You might know Interior for its role in domestic oil drilling and our national parks. But the department also produces a lot of information, and figuring out what to make public and how is quite a challenge. Deputy Assistant Secretary Andrew Jackson from the Office of Technology, Information and Business Services explains how Interior’s Open Government Plan will serve as a blueprint for openness.
