Amtower interviews Alan Balutis, Director and Distinguished Fellow at Cisco’s Government Solutions Group. Amtower and Balutis discuss the the current popularity of Web 2.0 tools in some government circles, with Mr Balutis offering the perspective of someone who was a senior executive in government for 28 years. Balutis says it is time for those in the career senior executives positions who are eligible for retirement to go ahead and exit so the web 2.0 tools are able to gain more immediate traction. Other topics discussed include aspects of the stimulus program, where Balutis pointed out that the IGs who are usually the ones to point out any missteps will now be under the same microscope as they roll out their respective stimulus programs. All in all, a very informative, topical show with plenty of opinions!
