Some service members serving outside of the United States will get an automatic tax filing extension this year. The Pentagon says the extension is for two months and includes service members supporting operations in Japan and Libya. Some deployed service members already get an automatic 180-day extension…but there are some operations, like those in Japan and Libya, that don’t qualify for that 180-day grace period.
