Today marks the sixth day of a partial shutdown at the Federal Aviation Administration, which has led to the furlough of about 4,000 employees nationwide.

Of those, hundreds work at the William J. Hughes Technical Center at the Atlantic City International Airport, which has experienced a large local impact, Reuters reported.

So, what is life like when you want to work but are barred from doing so? Bob Challender, president of the the American Federation of Government Employees’ Local 200, joined the Federal Drive to discuss how the 640 local furloughed workers are coping and what guidance they are getting from FAA.
