The Homeland Security Department has been hunting down federal computers infected with the DNSChanger virus. The virus intercepts messages and sends victims to rogue web sites. NextGov reports, outside researchers found that half of 55 agencies tested had infected machines. DHS would not confirm that number, but said cyber officials are actively going after the worm. They loaded a profile of DNSChanger into an Einstein monitoring system to help detect bad machines.
