DOE analyst takes science beyond textbook

We continue our Sammies Tracker series, speaking to finalists in this year\'s Service to America Medals from the Partnership for Public Service

For almost two decades, the Energy Department’s Sue Ellen Walbridge has encouraged more than 300,000 middle and high school students to consider working in those fields. She’s been the driving force behind the National Science Bowl. It’s a program that’s set up like Jeopardy; every spring, teams of students come to the nation’s capital to be quizzed in a fast-paced question-and-answer format in topics like biology, math and general science.

Ms. Walbridge is a program analyst for the Energy Department, she’s been chosen as a finalist in the Sammies’ Career Achievement category. She joined Federal Drive to discuss her work.
