Next year a significant Marine presence may likely be headed to Afghanistan. And it can’t come too soon for some. Forces loyal to the Taliban fired a rocket Wednesday that hit a terminal for trucks carrying supplies to NATO and U.S. troops in Afghanistan, destroying dozens of vehicles and highlighting their increasing control over parts of northwest Pakistan. Rocket attacks in Peshawar which sits along the supply route from Pakistan to Afghanistan, have increased in recent weeks.
