Managing a federal agency’s mobile risk might require a whole line of new thinking — not just new technology.

Troy Lange, the mobility mission manager in the National Security Agency’s Information Assurance Directorate, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss mobile risk management.

In many cases, he said, the emphasis is on risk management more than prevention. In other words, rather than locking certain devices out, agencies are learning to implement “multiple layers of security to limit the risks posed by mobile computing,” as reported in an article in FedTech magazine.
