A public-private group called EnergySec surveyed 104 energy security professionals.

Two-thirds say smart grid upgrades paid for with stimulus money don’t adequately address security. NextGov reports the 2009 stimulus bill shoveled $2.5 billion towards modernizing the nation’s electric grid. A stated goal was to enhance security and reliability.
