    "Punishment" of DOJ prosecutors in teh Stevens case

    There's an old Latin saying that's appropriate here. "Quis ipsos custodes custodiet?", rendered as "Who will guard the guards?" If prosecutors in the nation's Department of justice can evade ultimate true accountability for a deliberate (despite the internal investigative report's incredible conclusion that it was not) violation of a key legal principle - which just happened to occur in the last stages of Senator Stevens' close re-election camapaign - then who can have confidence in the Department and Attorney General Holder's leadership? This was a deliberate, partisan-inspired effort to get the necessary 60th vote in the Senate to prevent blockgae of key Obama adminstration initiatives, particularly the now infamous national health care reform legislation. Possibly all this is channeling George Orwell's names for governmental organizations in his book "1984," e.g., the Ministry of Love, where the actual functions were the reverse of what was in the nomenclature. Should we be referring to Mr. Holder instead as "O'Brien" when mentioning the Department of Justice?
