It could have been worse. Really?

Federal workers who have been paying attention to the various plans to have them finance unemployment benefits, highways and tax cuts must be confused, if not in a state of shock, Senior Correspondent Mike Causey says. Could it be that the only people who are happy are those who haven't been paying attention?

    The rest of the story The Republicans locked the gate, the Democrats turned their backs and walked away, the CBO said "let me pour salt in you wound", and the the general public took away your stick. They your boss said "you are at work you cannot pray - you know about separation of church and state."

    Up to the point of praying you were good. Workers can take a few minutes to pray. They cannot impose their prayer on others. Since you are obviously referring to public schools, then the same thing applies. A child can pray silently if he (she) wants to do so. However, neither the adults nor children can impose that prayer on other children whose parents do not want that. The prayers also cannot single out the children whose parents do not want that by forcing them to listen or leave the room. Prayer is private and should be kept that way.

    We drop the retirement benefits completely for the House and Senate as well as paying the President his yearly salary for life. Surely the millionaires in Congress understand that as federal employees that they need to suffer along with their constituents and as elected officials they need to go above and beyond to set the example. Once that happens, then perhaps they can begin to look towards other avenues of cost savings.

    The taxpayer will get what they pay for. My office is suffering about a 10% yearly turn-over, with the senior engineers/technicians flocking to contracting jobs, and the younger ones looking for employment else where, anywhere else. Just goes to show the old saying is true "The floggings will continue until the morale improves!". Happy to be leaving at the end of the year and going to the private sector! Funny, didn't feel this way 3 years ago

    Good luck in your retirement. With the nonsense going on everyone will scream about the feds not giving proper services. The xfeds will tell the complainers to look back at their treatment the the feds.
