    deployed decoy
The military on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait on permanent duty (not deployed). Live in private very nice places. They share a full bathroom with one person in the living unit on the other side of the kitchen/bathroom. So asking your bathroom neighbor to take in the late movie, while the other guy hits salsa night is a big deal. The pickup line used most (since all the nurses and others live in communal units with massive shower trailers): Hey baby, want to take a Victoria Secrets bubble bath by candle light...

My only complaint with this column is that you portray older people as being pathetically unhealthy. Although i am older, I still walk a few miles on most days, including winter. I can easily take long walks on the beach. I also enjoy swimming in the ocean. This does not mean I am superman. I am far from that. It does mean that I am not stuck on a couch or in bed either.

Health starts to suffer as you get older, it is a fact of life. Those who exercise and keep a healthy weight will generally stay healthier than those who don't. There are exceptions to every rule, like the marathon runner who died during a race. 30 something years old and in excellent shape. Sometimes genes play more of a roll than exercise. Just remember 50% of all medical expenses occur in the last 6 months of life.

I will not disagree that health begins to suffer as one gets older. I am not the same as I was 40, 30, or 20 years ago. But the 50 year old was portrayed as not being pretty bad off. I am older than that, but in much better shape than that. I hope most 50 year olds are not reflected by this column. That would be bad.
