OPM promotes new thinking about federal pay

OPM Director John Berry said the administration is trying to be "responsible and professional" when it comes to changing the bonus and pay structure. He said agencies should take a step back and make sure they are using these programs effectively and promoting the best employees.

    Why are federal workers the only group sacrificing their pay and benefits? Is Congress apart of the Federal government? We are the scapegoats when Wall street and numerous corporations have stole money from the tax payers of this nation. I understand we are in a recession, but if we have to sacrifice and get our pay and bonuses frozen, then I suggest Congress do the same. They need their pay frozen and their benefits cut at the same time. It is easy for Congress to suggest that the federal government is costly when they are apart of the problem.
