OPM: Federal government closed Tuesday

Congrats on FNR being the authoritative source on the gov't operating status as OPM's website is down, again. Perhaps there's a news story here w/ OPM's adoption of cloud computing and virtualization for surge capacity ....

My hats off to you DC folks that have proven now is the time for Canada to invade the USA. They could do it without a shot fired I figure. The banking system of the world collapsing would be the reason they could provide added to the fact they are saving the world from the evil empire of 8 YO mentality of snow daze off. If your parking lot is snowed in, I assume you are going wait for some federally funded teenager to come shovel it open. If your BMW has tires for the track and not able to support tire chains, I assume you expect a recall issued. Be responsible, dig your sidewalk and driveway open, put on your chains and drive to Florida where you send the boss an SMS that you are now in sanctuary and will return to DC after the Canadians tell you that you still have a job. Don’t try and use GPS in this escape attempt as I figure the Air Force will spoof the GPS timing to slow the Canadian advance and since Obama just killed Lori-C ships and commercial aircraft will be slamming into the city centers and ports adding to the confusion. The internet will die hard as all of you make sure you get WED off likewise. In short civilization as the world knows it is over.

Please keep us all safe tomorrow and keep us closed! Mine and most neighborhoods out in Frederick aren't cleared and I have to drive into Silver Spring, where some places are without power! And the snow will show up around noon? 2pm? so then I have to drive on ice covered in fresh snow...that's not safe!

Even if the government is open, I cannot make it in! There is so much snow in the neighborhood parking lot the snow plows have plowed my car in!

OPM's site is down, again and everyone is anxious to find out the operating status for tomorrow. WTOP and Federal News Radio are tops!

This image appears to be fake. There have been no updates to the OPM website as of yet.

It IS a .gov site, and it redirected automatically from the opm.gov site, so I think it's legit. Plus federalnewsradio just confirmed it.
