Federal Security Spotlight catches up with Rear Admiral Mike Brown, the deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity and communications at the Department of Homeland Security.

Brown recently attended the opening of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, or NCCIC, on Glebe Road in Arlington, Va. In our interview, Brown describes the center, who is working there and its goals and purposes.

Also in the show, we present a piece of the Senate testimony of John Streufert, chief information security officer at the State Department. He tells how the new Cyberscope initiative is working and how State has begun 36-hour scans of all its overseas networks.
